Gnome?

I was trying to come up with some new ideas and I thought of a gnome. This was my first try and he would definitely need some tweaking before I attempt to do anything with him, but I though he was kinda cute

Another Review

I just found out that we have gotten another fabulous review that I am very happy about.

I am not working on any new dolls at the moment, my poor little girl is working on her first tooth!

I got home from a very nice dinner at my parents tonight to find an email from Samantha at TwoGreenChickens Emailing me to let me know how much she liked a doll that she had purchased. It was a gray haired doll, the only one that I have ever made wth gray hair, and I was so glad when I found out someone had purchased her. I honestly didn't think anyone would really want her, but apparently Samantha bought her because it looks like her. :) It was really nice to hear from her.

On another note, here is Poppy doing her best Horatio from CSI Miami haha

New Dolls

Four more girls are off to NATURALPOD today. It is such a beautiful day I decided to take the pictures outside today. Hopefully they turned out for the website.

I decided to try something new this time around, giving one of the dolls an extra skirt made out of eyelet, and I gave one of them a little apron made out of felt. Mark says now with the extra skirt it makes the rest of the dolls look naked. I disagree :) I think it kinda looks like a tutu.

Poppy and I are both out of sorts with a nasty cold, and she has decided now that the only way she can sleep is on her belly. Yesterday was a bad day with a sick baby and finally that is how I got her to bed. I worried all night, I am only used to letting her sleep on her back, and the doctors and nurses scare the crap out of new moms by telling them that your baby could die of SIDS if you put them on their tummies. I now realize that she is big enough to get off her belly if she wants, besides she would let me know if was annoyed!

Well I am off to try and enjoy this beautiful weather, not quite sure what I am going to do yet, but I'll think of something!

I'm a Cool Mom Pick!

I sure was excited to see my dolls as a Cool Mom Pick this morning when I woke up.

check it out!

How exciting is this? VERY!!!

What is Cool Mom Picks you ask? Well..

"We're just a few moms that track down cool stuff so you can stay busy being fabulous. We know cool stuff doesn't make the mom, but it certainly helps make life a little better. Our focus is non-mainstream products and services, particularly those from indie or emerging designers and mom/women-run companies. We believe you can stay true to your dazzling design sensibilities and still support an entrepreneur, especially one trying to support her family through her work." (Taken from their site!)

If you want one of my dolls go to the page and enter the contest, and you can have your very own! All you need to do is email them with the name of your favorite doll on NATURALPOD and you are entered to win, go to the page for contest details.
I go to the Cool Mom Picks page quite often to see what they have reviewed and I usually go and check out the websites they recommend, I am so flattered that they have chosen me.

Happy Mothers Day

I am very excited about tomorrow morning, it is my first mothers day. I have to admit that growing up I swore that I would never have children and I stuck by that unitl I was about 20. Then for some reason I knew that I wanted to be a mom.

Giving birth to my daughter was one of the two happiest days of my life, the second of which was my wedding day. I loved every minute of my pregnancy and thankfully I was blessed with a easy one :) I know people say that they didn't know that type of love existed until they see their child for the first time, and I have to say that I completely agree, and I also must say that at that moment I had never loved my husband so much.

I am thankful for everyday that both Poppy and Mark are here with me, and I am thankful that a little girl can teach me so much everyday.

I love you Poppy, and even though you are clueless at this point to any of this, I know that you know.

Friday Night and nothing is on TV

I hate it when nothing of any interest is on TV. Out of all the TV shows and Movies that they re-run on TV I love Sex and the City and Never Been Kissed. I want into Se and the City when it was actualy on TV but now... Ilove it and I cannot wait for it to come to the Movies. Poppy and I sometimes go to a special creening for babies at our local theatre and it's fun, that is one movie I will be sure to go see.

I have purchased some new fabric that I can't wait to make dolls with. I actually found another color of felt too that I think will be a really nice orangey color for hair. I love my Red and Yellow color, but this will be a nice addition.

I have actually been experimenting with a new pattern for a fairy doll. My friend Brooke loves fairies and she suggested it. The first one turned out...ok, but there are some things that I really need to change on it before I debut her. I really like the colors I used, but again...some things...

I have sold another doll since my excited post last week, I am excited for things to get rolling right along. It was really exciting, I actually did a little dance :)

I have some other things I have to do tonight like... laundry yay! so off I go.
